Some Good News

We’ve had a couple of pieces of good news today: the pump has been removed, and David’s colonoscopy results didn’t show anything untoward. He didn’t expect to return from the Lister without the pump attached to his leg, but apparently it’s done as much as it can. He still has an open wound, and the (now smaller) cavity has been filled with a ribbon dressing to further aid healing. The dressing will be changed on Friday.

Skin samples will be taken from behind his knee next Tuesday as another biopsy is required to see if the changes are cancerous. We will get the CT scan results at Mount Vernon tomorrow. Hopefully he’ll get the go ahead to start the drugs again.
