Signs & Symptoms of Melanoma

Life almost seems normal at the moment: the hole in David’s leg is closing in and fewer appointments are now required. We are still waiting for the results of his latest biopsy, but we are both relieved that he is back on the cancer medication. 

It’s been a while since I looked at this picture of the offending mole, taken following the bleed and prior to excision, and I find myself being shocked by it. Most melanomas are likely to be uneven or irregular in shape; they are more than one colour with irregular borders. This is a classic example. 

It did not look like this in summer of 2023 when I first voiced my concerns, and the significant changes were not noticed when long trousers replaced shorts as autumn approached.
