Sunday PiperIssue 52: 25 July 2010 |
Photographing wildlife (particularly butterflies) is always a real challenge, but this week I was asked to photograph the Harlequins rugby team, and that proved to be just as difficult: they wouldn't keep still either! To be honest, I thought they were from Watford (well that's what the shopping centre's called!). Personally I prefer the wildlife, but here's a treat for the ladies out there who might like to see a change of scenery on my website!
And here are some pictures for cat lovers: How about this for a hairy nose?
Don't they have amazing eyes?
The Sunday Piper is a year old today, so I thought I would celebrate what's right with the world, and show that there are people who do look after our planet. On Saturday I spent the afternoon at the College Lake Wildlife Trust Reserve, near Tring, where they have a new centre for visitors (and yes, they do sell cakes in the caff!). I believe that the Wildlife Trusts do an amazing job; their mission is to 'rebuild biodiversity and engage people with their environment', and as you walk round it's easy to see how important their work is. These are just a few of this week's photos; I hope you enjoy them:
